The Kids

This is the only picture we got of the two kids. When we would say smile, Brylee would just cry. She didn't want her picture taken.
Brylee is a great big sister. She is a big helper. I think we are both excited to have her go to preschool this year.
Gage is 4 months. He is rolling over and is starting to sit by himself. It is amazing how fast they grow up.

I really did give Gage his first bath last week, I am just slow at posting some pictures. He loved it. Brylee has been a great big sister and has helped with all his baths.

It's a Boy!!!

On March 2, 2011 we welcomed our new little boy, Gage into the Southwick family. He came at 1:55 pm, weighed 8 lbs 3 oz, 19.5 inches long. Yep big boy. It only took 3 pushes and he was out. Thank heavens.
Brylee loves him so much. I don't even know how many kisses and hugs he has recieved from her. She is a good big sister, and at times so much help for mom.
We took all the right after delivery pictures with my mom's camera and I haven't gotten them from her yet, so this is what you get.
He is doing good so far, we love him so much!!!

DeAnne and Natalie

Alright this is for DeAnne and Natalie. They have been giving me crap for not doing anything with my blog since before christmas.
I am a fat pregnant lady who is trying to wait patiently for this little boy of mine to come out. Come on any day. Sooner than later. I promise I will post pictures when he comes, until then don't expect anything.

Ginger Bread Houses

When Shane was gone hunting, my family had pie night. Each one of our families will make a pie, then we vote on who made the best pie. Layne sure tried hard, but his didn't work out. He brought it all still running. After we each pies, we make ginger bread houses. Brylee helped for about 10 min and then I did the rest. It was still fun, even with out our dad!!!

Montana Deer Hunt

Shane went to Montana with his cousin on a deer hunt over Thanksgiving. He said it was freezing cold up there, but had a good time. This is the big buck he came home with.
GOOD JOB BABE!!!

Shane's buck is on the far left.

Labor Day Weekend

I thought Labor Day weekend was going to be just another weekend. Shane was up to Wyoming to scout for his deer hunt. Brylee was going with grandma and grandpa cause it was mom's weekend to work. Thas is exactly what happened Friday and Saturday. Sunday rolled around and Shane came home. We decided to go spend the night camping with Family up on Skyline Drive. Spend some time with Brylee before mom had to go back to work Monday night.
THAT IS A DECISION SHANE AND I WILL NEVER FORGET!!!
After church, we drove up to skyline. We had been there for about an hour when my mom came running to the trailing yelling Gary! Shane!! some has rolled a razor and is hurt. We found out a young man was a little more than hurt. The razor had landed on his chest and when we finally got him out from underneath, the man wasn't breathing and didn't have a pulse. Gary did mouth to mouth and I did chest compression. Shane was calling to get life light. We did CPR for an hour before life light finally came. I felt helpless, I couldn't help this man cause I didn't have any medical equipment like I do in the hospital. Life light did finally get a soft pulse and 84% O2 saturation. Then next day we found out from the family that the man has his eyes open, breathing on his own, but there was no brain activity. To this day I can still see this man's face and bruised chest.
I thought I would never have to do CPR outside of the hospital. It was an experience I will never forget.
It made me realize how fragile life can be, and never take for family for granite. I love my family so much!!!!
